Benefits Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate annually a 3-year plan of the package of membership benefits to increase alumni affinity and to develop a sense of belonging to the University of Minnesota Duluth Alumni Association including but not limited to:
• Exploring one or two major benefits, create a wish list of benefits including national benefits
• Evaluating a benefits card
Bulldog Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate annually a 3-year comprehensive plan to increase the awareness of graduating juniors and seniors, and future involvement and participation in the UMD alumni association to include but not be limited to the alumni sponsored events of alumni sponsored graduation party and networking event.
Communications Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate annually a comprehensive 3-year plan to increase and improve communication to an ever-expanding alumni base including but not limited to:
• Increasing the effectiveness of internal communications.
• Exploring a wide variety of communication channels.
• Enforcing the mission of the UMD Alumni Association.
Events Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate a 3-year plan of UMD alumni events, activities and opportunities that will trigger alumni participation along with new, active members throughout the country and world and to explore sponsorship opportunities. Committee members’ responsibilities to achieve this goal shall include but not be limited to:
• Recruiting attendance and participation
• Acting as event hosts and greeters
Membership Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate annually a 3-year plan for the possibility of alumni expansion through affiliate groups including but not limited to:
• Geographical chapters
• Corporate alumni
• Friends
• Sponsors
Nominating Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate annually a 3-year plan for the University of Minnesota Duluth Alumni Board of Directors to assist and develop a process to identify a diverse list of potential board, committee and special project members and to maintain an active list of distinguished alumni for potential award recognition.
Scholarship Committee
Goal: To create, implement and evaluate annually a 3-year plan to grow the scholarship fund and to involve the scholarship recipient in Alumni Board activities, specifically the Bulldog committee.
