UMD alumni are welcome to use UMD’s beautiful Sports and Health Center. To do so they must purchase a facilities pass. This entitles you access the following during business hours: jogging track, gymnasium, tennis courts, weight and cardio rooms, pool, field house, climbing wall and the ice rink.
UMD alumni are also encouraged to participate in Recreational Sports Outdoor Programs and activities, except intramural sports.
Summer 2012 pass (June 1 – August 31) = $100

Alumni and Duluth community members have borrowing privileges and access to UMD library materials. Courtesy cards are available for those wishing to check out items from the UMD library and UMD also has databases available for public use.
Visit the Site - Tuition Break for Children of Alumni

As alumni of UMD, your children can qualify for an out of state resident waiver to attend UMD, thus paying the same tuition rate as an in-state resident. The only requirement is that the student maintains a 3.0 while in school.
Eligible students are identified through an item on the application for admission. The item asks if any members of the applicant’s family graduated from UMD and the name and relationship to the applicant. Start Shopping - University for Seniors
University for Seniors (US) is associated with the University of Minnesota Duluth educational system and sponsored by Continuing Education. University for Seniors has been providing life-long learning opportunities for individuals age fifty and above since 1988. The educational program focuses on humanities-based opportunities for intellectual and cultural development, but also includes options for social events and field trips.
The program is designed to function as an intellectual cooperative with its members acting as instructors, planners and committee members. Continuing Education staff administer the program. Thirty plus study groups are offered each term. Three eight-week terms are held each academic year.
Membership is open to all individuals age 50 years or older who have an interest in learning, whether their formal education ended early in life or they acquired advanced degrees.
