Minnesota mascots were in St. Paul for the weekend of January 12-14 to give the “Crashed Ice” course a try. St. Cloud State University’s Blizzard the Husky, University of Minnesota Twin Cities’s Goldy the Gopher, and the Minnesota Wild’s Nordy laced up their skates to go up against UMD’s Champ the Bulldog. You can probably guess who the clear winner was, but watch this short, fun video of the challenge to see for yourself.
The “Crashed Ice” World Championship made its U.S. debut on January 12-14 in St. Paul. This was the first round of competition for “Crashed Ice,” a combination of ice hockey, downhill skating and boardercross.
