The UMD Alumni Association wishes to spotlight alumni and members of the UMD family who have made significant contributions to UMD and their communities through their commitment, service, scholarship or accomplishments. We also wish to feature UMD young alumni who are making a difference.

Recommendations will be considered for recognition in the Bridge, the UMDView and the UMD Alumni website. Nominations will be reviewed for the University of Minnesota Outstanding Achievement Award, the UMD Distinguished Alumni Award and shared with the appropriate UMD collegiate units for award consideration.

The University of Minnesota confers a number of awards and honors on individuals of local, statewide, national, or international prominence who have achieved distinction and recognition in public service, enterprise, philanthropy, education, science, literature, or the arts. These awards are based on policy established by the Board of Regents and procedures determined by the Senate All-University Honors Committee.
