University of Minnesota Alumni Association D.C. Chapter to present “Outstanding Alumni Award” to Garrison Keillor!

Recently, the UMD Alumni Association was contacted by the University of Minnesota Alumni Association D.C. Chapter (UMAA-DC), with a request to invite our area alumni to this special event. In addition to Garrison Keillor receiving the Outstanding Alumni Award, the UMAA-DC chapter will kick off a new scholarship*. The funds raised will be used for scholarships for students from the greater Washington D.C. area ...

This March UMD Chancellor Lendley C. Black will be traveling to Arizona to meet UMD alumni and friends. The energy was high Wednesday evening, November 9, at the Zeitgeist Atrium in downtown Duluth as the trendy new space filled with nearly 150 UMD students and alumni professionals from a wide variety of careers and businesses; all were there to shake hands, share stories, exchange contact information, and make great connections.  UMD Networking Night, sponsored by the UMD Alumni Association and Liberty Mutual Insurance was a big success according to students, professionals and UMD staff.
