This March UMD Chancellor Lendley C. Black will be traveling to Arizona to meet UMD alumni and friends. With close to 900 UMD alumni calling the state home, Chancellor Black is looking forward to visiting Goodyear (Phoenix) on Monday, March 5 and Green Valley (Tucson) on Tuesday, March 6. On Monday, March 5, two events are scheduled to be held in Goodyear at PebbleCreek. The day begins with an alumni and friends golf outing at PebbleCreek’s Tuscany Falls course. 18 hole tee times start at 1:00 pm ($49.00 with cart) while 9 hole tee times begin at 3:00 pm ($25.50 with cart).
After an afternoon of golf we hope you will attend our supper reception. Meet Chancellor Black and connect with alumni for a reception at the Chianti Lounge at PebbleCreek beginning at 5:00 pm. Dinner will include pizza, pasta, salad, breadsticks, and dessert ($15 per person). These two events will be hosted by Mary and Russ Georgesen (’67 alumnus) and the UMD Alumni Association. The following day, Tuesday, March 6, Phil and Rhoda Serrin (’54 alumna) invite you to their home (637 West Tiger Place) in Green Valley for lunch. Meet Chancellor Black and connect with alumni and friends from the area. Lunch will begin at noon ($10 per person). Lunch will be hosted by Phil and Rhoda Serrin (’54 alumna), Peg Haley Kepner (’68 alumna) and Karen Griffith.
